The main flight courses offered at most institutes today are:

  • CPL – Commercial pilot license

This involves complicated instructions from piloting management by highly qualified and skilled flight instructors with a minimum flight log time of 200 hours to be recorded with a single engine and / or double-engine aircraft.

After successfully completing CPL, pilots can then apply for jobs with commercial airlines (domestic or international), chartered companies, companies.

  • PPL – Private Pilot License

Qualification of this license authorizes the pilot to fly non-commercial aircraft as supported by the license. In addition, PPL license holders can also fly at night with night and instrument assessments. A candidate must pass an exam conducted by the DGCA in terrestrial subjects and have a minimum of 40 flight hours to obtain this license.

  • SPL – Student Pilot License

Students must be eligible for the DGCA determined by the SPL through tests conducted by the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) of the institution on behalf of the DGCA. The SPL authorizes students to start their flight training courses and after completing the specified qualification criteria, students are then entitled to obtain a Personal Pilot License (PPL) and / or Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
